Clash Royale is not an offline game, it is an online game. To play the Clash Royale game, you need network connection (WiFi or mobile data). You can also confirm this by checking Clash Royale game app description on Play Store and App Store. App description has the following line, which indicates that the game is online.
I honestly think Supercell did something that will no longer allow emulators to work for CR. It's not just messed up on Bluestacks, it's not working on ANY emulators, apparently. That's just my opinion on the situation.
Recently for past few days I was getting red Wi-Fi connection issues most of the time. But by coincidence I found out that while I am using VPN, the game doesn't lag. Btw is it safe to use VPN? Or clash royale will ban my account for it?.
So just today my clash royale stopped working. I was playing in the morning on my data LTE on my iPhone 7 and then I tried going on it again and it stayed on 50 for about 10 seconds. When it finally loads I can’t go into a game at all. Same thing happened to me with Brawl Stars, another game by supercell.
COC needs a constant connection. If you are out of range from your router/wifi your device will switch to cellular which loses the connection. Go to settings and disable wifi so you are only using cellular and you will not have this problem. EDIT: U.S. here Other countries may call the router a modem. idk.

Wifi issues. Why is clash Royale the ONLY app that has wifi problems? My internet is fast and working perfectly absolutely nothing else is slowing down or having issues except for CR. I'm even streaming in HD perfectly fine but as soon as I log in to CR I get the wifi thing. It HAS to be their trash servers.

For the past few days, since getting my new internet installed by Hargray, Clash Royale has not been loading past 50%. It’s the only game/application that has any issue. It will load just fine on data.

This results in a loss of gems which I have purchased but will not be refunded as they will not accept responsibility. Whilst playing Clash of Clans I will continually lose the internet connection.

Muchas veces estás conectado por Wi-Fi y Clash Royale no funciona.Puede ser por una incidencia con tu red, porque no es lo mismo tener Internet para mirar una cosa en Google que necesitarla todo el rato, porque en el momento en el que se corta por un segundo se cae la conexión en el juego y adiós partida.

It’s incredibly stupid. Every time Wi-Fi has ever dropped, the game just won’t default connect to LTE. It spazzes then shuts down after it times out and restarts. Germany, Poland, Austria, Kroatia. That are all countrys where Clash Royale isnt available via Wifi anymore. So what happened? Since yesterday evening middle europe time, most of the middle europe citiziens cant log via Wifi into Clash Royale anymore. Funny, but mobile data just works fine for the most. Even a VPN works with a non europe IP works.
